By downloading, installing, or using the Memoka application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Memoka is a mobile application designed to help users learn Japanese through flashcards and spaced repetition. The App offers both free and premium content ("Memoka Plus").
3. User Account
Some features of the App may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Free and Premium Content
The App provides free access to a selection of learning items. Memoka Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks additional content and features. Subscription details, pricing, and billing are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Memoka Plus includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings.
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, images, icons, learning materials, and software — is the property of Memoka and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
- Share your account credentials with third parties.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Memoka does not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memoka shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
9. Modifications
Memoka reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This section describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10.1 Information We Collect
- Account data: Email address and display name if you create an account.
- Learning data: Your progress, review history, and learning statistics to provide the spaced repetition service.

10.4 Data Retention & Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.
